I have a long list of books that I recommend on a broad range of subjects—apologetics, family ministry, church history, and so on. But there’s a much briefer list on which it’s far more difficult to gain a spot: books I use with my own children.
This new book by Jim Hamilton, The Bible’s Big Story, has earned a place on this list.
My two younger children in particular will be hearing the rhymes from this book quite often over the next few years. Jim is an eminent biblical theologian; in this book, he breaks down biblical theology not so much for seminarians but for those people that are somewhere in the gap between bottles and braces.
